Rice basmati moves up on stockists buying

Rice basmati prices firmed up by Rs 200 per quintal at the wholesale grains market today on increased buying by stockists and a rise in demand.
Traders said increased stockists buying due to rise in demand against restricted supplies from producing regions mainly pushed up rice basmati prices.
In the national capital, rice basmati common and Pusa-1121 variety moved up by Rs 200 each to Rs 8,400-8,900 and Rs 7,600-9,200 per quintal, respectively.
The following were today's quotations per quintal:
Wheat MP (deshi) 2,070-2,270, Wheat dara (for mills) 1,625-1,630, Chakki atta (delivery) 1,630-1,635 Atta Rajdhani (10 kg) 220, Shakti bhog (10 kg) 220, Roller flour mill 870-890 (50 kg), Maida 950-970 (50 kg) and Sooji 990-1,020 (50kg).

Basmati rice (Lal Quila) 10,400, Shri Lal Mahal 10,000, Super Basmati Rice, 9,500, Basmati common new 8,400-8,900, Rice Pusa-(1121) new 7,600-9,200, Permal raw 2,100-2,200, Permal wand 2,250-2,275, Sela 2,800-2,825 and Rice IR-8- 1,850-1,900, Bajra 1,245-1,250, Jowar yellow 1,470-1,500, white 2,275-2,300, Maize 1,410-1,415, Barley 1,405-1,410, Rajasthan 1,080-1,090.
