Rifle, 3 magazines found during mosque renovation in J-K

An assault rifle and three magazines were today found from an old mosque which was being renovated in north Kashmir's Kupwara district, police said.
AK-47 rifle and three magazines were recovered from the mosque in Rajwar village of Handwara area of the district, a police spokesman said here.
The villagers handed over the weapons to the police.
Earlier in the day, two militants were killed by the security forces in an encounter in this district.
Two weapons were also recovered from the encounter site.
