Rifle of guard manning college where EVMs kept goes off

: The rifle of a security guard manning a city government college where sealed EVMs have been kept for next week's counting accidentally went off today, but none was injured, police said.
The incident occurred in the Government College of Technology, where EVMs for Coimbatore Lok Sabha consituency have been kept for counting on May 16, they said.
Investigations revealed that the guard had accidentaly fired the rifle he was carrying, they said.
