The Right to Services Bill would be introduced in the ongoing Budget session of Maharashtra legsilature, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis told the Assembly today.
As many as 150 services would be notified under the Bill, which seeks to empower citizens to demand better services from state authorities and enables time-bound redressal of their grievances, and they will be brought on electronic platform, he said.
Fadnavis said legislators would be able to unfurl the national tricolour at the taluka level from this year onwards.
"A Government Resolution (GR) will be issued before May 1, notifying days like the Maharashtra Foundation Day (May 1), Independence Day and Republic Day as well as places where members of the Legislative Assembly and Council can hoist the national flag," he said.
Fadnavis was replying to queries on budgetary demands of the General Administration Department (GAD).
The Chief Minister said his Government plans to provide employment to five lakh youth every year by imparting required skills and training. "There are 35 lakh registered unemployed in the State."
An integrated project management unit would be set up to assess needs of the marketplace and carry out neccessary changes in the curriculum. A skills training university would also be set up, he said.
Fadnavis said 14 per cent of the GAD posts are vacant and a process was on to fill them.
Stern steps are being taken to act against corrupt officials, he added.
