Social organisation Rihai Manch today urged a special court to review its verdict convicting two people in the 2007 court blasts case in Uttar Pradesh, and said it was likely to challenge it in the high court.

"The special court has convicted Tariq Kajmi and Mohd Akhtar for the blasts and fixed August 27 for awarding quantum of sentence. We request the court to review its verdict," retired IPS officer S R Darapuri, a senior member of Rihai Manch, told reporters here.

"The Manch is of the view that there is a need to further hear all aspects in the case," Darapuri said.

Asked whether the Manch will extend help to the families of the two in challenging the verdict, Darapuri said, "We will adopt all available means including challenging it in the high court."
