"I do not have any personal ill-feeling towards any of the party leaders and legislators nor is there any difference with Rio. But the Party Disciplinary Action Committee recommended his suspension based on his replies to the show cause notice," Liezietsu said in a party programme in Northern Angami-II Assembly constituency.
Northern Angami-II used to be constituency of Rio, presently being held by his son-in-law Dr Neiphrezo Keditsu, after he was elected to Lok Sabha in May 2014.
"I am satisfied to protect the Party constitution," he said
Interacting with reporters after the conference, Shurhozelie said the party disciplinary committee has also issued show cause notices to two other MLAs - Dr Neiphrezo and Namri Nchang - while their responses are awaited.
The NPF president said some dissidents leaders will form a new party before the 2018 Assembly elections.
