A RJD legislator today protested against the Bihar government for violation of protocol in a function attended by Union Minister Kapil Sibal and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.
Bhai Birendra, RJD MLA from Maner, angrily protested that his name was missing in the invitation card as well in the plaque of foundation laying function of NIELIT (National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology).
Birendra rose from his seat on the dais and vented anger at the state government for not maintaining protocol and ignoring opposition legislator in official function.
"This is happening for the second time. Earlier too ill treatment was meted out at a function in my constituency which was attended by Sibal," the RJD MLA said from the stage.
"It's not only my insult but insult of the people of the constituency," he shouted.
Later, Sibal assured the legislator that it might be an unintentional mistake. Kumar also tried to calm him.
On their intervention, Birendra was given chance to speak. During his speech, the RJD legislator hit out at the Bihar government for ill treating opposition party MLAs.
After end of the foundation laying function, Sibal was seen talking to the angry MLA separately to soothe his ruffled feathers.
