Ajit Rathi, district president of the party told media that hundreds of party activists blocked the Delhi-Dehradun national highway yesterday and burnt effigies of the BJP government which had recently sent an eviction team to the official residence of former Union minister Ajit Singh.
Former minister Dharamvir Balyan, district vice-president Dharmender Tomour and former MLAs Rajpal Balyan and Pardeep Balyan also participated in the protests, Sethi added.
Sethi threatened to stop water supply from Ganga canal to Delhi if the union government does not accept their demand of allotting the bungalow back to the party chief by September 18.
