Agitated parents blocked a road Monday morning in the busy Jadavpur area, in the southern part of the city, to protest against the admission procedure of a state-run school.
Jadavpur Vidyapith, a 60-year-old government-sponsored school, recently issued a statement to notify the introduction of a lottery system for admission to Class V from the next academic session.
The agitators all parents of students who study at a primary school located on Jadavpur Vidyapith's premises
