According to police, head constable Jai Bhagawan and constable Manoj Kumar had stopped the boy at around 9 am and were issuing him a challan when he called up his family members, who then along with a group of men reached the spot and thrashed the cops.
"The boy, a resident of Shubhash Colony in Bhajanpura, called up his father Sagir Ahmad and brother Shahnawaj, who arrived with their accomplices and thrashed the two cops on duty," a senior police officer.
The attackers also damaged the equipment used to issue challan receipt while thrashing and chasing the cops.
After receiving a PCR call, police reached the spot and arrested Sagir and Shahnawaj besides detaining the minor.
The two cops were sent for medical examination.
An FIR has been registered against the accused under relevant sections of the IPC at Gokulpuri police station, the officer said.
