Following a complaint by Salim, a city-based lawyer, the Commission asked an Assistant Commissioner of Police in-charge of Bajara Hills area to submit a report by May 18.
The lawyer's complaint refers to news-reports regarding the assault on software professionals Kalyan and Phanish, allegedly at Ramcharan's behest, in Banjara Hills area.
According to Kalyan and Phanish, Ramcharan flew into rage because his vehicle was not being allowed to overtake theirs.
Telangana Advocates Joint Action Committee yesterday demanded that Hyderabad police register a case against Ramcharan and his bodyguards, however Police Commissioner Anurag Sharma said action would be taken only if Kalyan and Phanish lodged a complaint.
