Roadshow to promote Indo-German research collaboration

A week-long roadshow is being held here bringing together academics, researchers, scientists and aspiring students to strengthen Indo-German research collaboration.
Organised by the German House for Research and Innovation, the 'Excellence on Tour' roadshow at Science City is aimed at providing a platform to facilitate cooperation in research, science, technology and innovation.
The organisers said several workshops and lectures are being conducted structured around important themes such as natural fibre based composites, translucent concrete, toy technology, advances in active ageing and energy efficient building design.
The week-long programme includes info-sessions organised by Indian and German universities and institutes, providing information on the courses in the fields of research, technology and innovation.

Kolkata's Jadavpur University, IACS, Humboldt Club Kolkata and West Bengal Academy of Science and Technology will conduct individual activities to highlight their significant research work and projects.
The roadshow concludes on March 28.
