Robbery attempt foiled, two arrested in Faridabad

Two men were arrested as a policeman caught them planning a robbery near sector-8 of Faridabad, police said.
ASI Devendra Kumar, posted at Crime Branch Sector-65 Faridabad, was on a regular patrol duty at 9.05 PM near Gurgaon Canal in Sector-8 Faridabad when he found two men planning of robbery and dacoity in the area.
The officer along with his team overpowered the duo.
On frisking, they were found in possession of one country made pistol of .315 bore, 10 bullets and an iron chain. The arms found were without license, police said.
The culprits have been identified as Sandeep and Saddam, both residents of Mewat, they said.

A case has been registered with Police Station Sector-7 Faridabad under section 298 and 401 of IPC and sections 25, 54 and 59 of Arms Act.
The police have started investigations in the case, said investigating officer ASI Jalaluddin.
