Rohit Bal, Raima come together in Veda

Having frequented fashion czar Rohit Bal's Mughal-themed signature venture a couple of times actor Raima Sen found the decor and food equally appetizing.
"I won't have to say anything about this place. (You all are here)," Raima said after tucking into some kebabs.
Apart from praising the Mughal-themed ornate interiors of the place, the pillars with glass filigree works during her past couple of visits, Raima had simply relished the Fish Amritsari and Pondicherry Curry "ever since we became a part of the food hub of Park Street"
"Rohit Bal recommended that she be called during the unveil of our wide array off north western-Indian fusion cuisines this fall and here she is," Bal's Kolkata collaborator Mohit Sancheti told PTI here.

"Rohit Bal, who has given this magnificent design in Veda, and Raima, an actor from Bengal who has contributed immensely to quality, content-rich films in her state and Bollywood, perfectly gelled as the two personalities from showbiz having come together to this one-stop heritage-themed initiative," he said.
As a favourite hangout zone of the Bollywood crowd Bal had attracted to the Kolkata facility Mihun Chakraborty and Jackie Shroff besides the young, and upcoming Tolly brigade of Jeet, Dev, Soham and Swastika Mukherjee and Srijit.

The Kakorii Kebab, retaining the freedom flavour of the Kakori conspiracy of Bhagat Singh and his group, was among the favourites of the celebrity crowd.

"Based on their feedback the heritage theme will now go global with flavours like Varqui Khumb (Layers of Spiced mushrooms on crisp filo sheet), Kaffir Lime Paneer Tikka (Lemon flavoured Paneer Tikka), Murg Chuski (Minced Chicken Kebab on Sugarcane Stick), Desserts range from Beetroot and Fig Halwa," he said.
"Yes we do frequent Veda. It is one hot spot for foodies on any occasion," Proloy director Raj Chakroborty and actor Mimi Chaakraborty said during a promotion of their flick 'Bojhena se Bojhena'.
