"I am proud to confirm that Rolls-Royce Motor Cars is developing an all-new, high-bodied Rolls-Royce designed to satisfy the contemporary, highly mobile lifestyles of our discerning clients around the world," Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Chief Executive Torsten Mueller-Oetvoes said.
He added that the new model will fully deliver on the company's brand's promise of supreme luxury while at the same time being effortless everywhere.
This new model will deliver presence, elegance and purpose wherever its owners choose to be in the world, he added.
The Brtish brand, which is owned by Germany's BMW, said the car would be built on an all-new aluminium architecture specific to Rolls-Royce.
The company's Rival Bentley is already working on an SUV model that is likely to be launched in 2016.
The company that sells a range of super luxury cars with starting prices ranging from Rs 4.5 crore to Rs 9 crore is confident that India, which is projected to be "home to the fourth-highest number of billionaires in the world by 2023", to be one of its key markets.
