Shares of the company opened on a bullish note at Rs 57, then jumped 18.29 per cent to touch an early high of Rs 64.65 on BSE.
Similar movement was seen on the National Stock Exchange, where the stock opened at Rs 56.5 and surged by 18.89 per cent.
On Friday, Rolta had posted 91.33 per cent jump in consolidated net profit at Rs 54.3 crore in the second quarter ended September 30, 2016. It had posted a net profit of Rs 28.38 crore in the same period a year ago.
