Ronnie Screwvala co-founded firm unveils online course brand

U Education, an online education venture co-founded by producer Ronnie Screwvala, today unveiled a new brand name 'UpGrad' for online courses for young professionals.
UpGrad will have specialised programmes in entrepreneurship, data analytics and digital business management and will expand its programme portfolio over the next 12-18 months.

Tech M to develop IT solutions for IEVCS project * IT major Tech Mahindra today said it is developing an integrated solution to help utilities gather data on electric vehicle (EV) charging patterns and local transformer performance.
Under its Intelligent Electric Vehicle Charging System (IEVCS), a pilot project launched in March this year, Tech Mahindra has partnered San Diego Gas & Electric, SAP Canada and Nissan Canada, it said in a statement.

Tata Elxsi Q1 net profit up 71% at Rs 35.7 crore * Tata Elxsi, the visual effects and animation arm of the diversified Tata Group, today reported 71.5 per cent growth in standalone net profit at Rs 35.72 crore for the first quarter ended June 30, 2015 from Rs 20.82 crore in year-ago period.
Its standalone net sales rose 27.6 per cent to Rs 243.52 crore in the April-June quarter of 2015-16 fiscal against Rs 190.75 crore in the same quarter of previous fiscal, the company said in a BSE filing.

TCS partners FICO
* Country's largest IT services firm Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) today said it has partnered analytics software company FICO.
The partnership will enable clients to purchase and implement FICO solutions through TCS, it said in a statement.
