This was decided at a high level meeting chaired by chief minister Naveen Patnaik and attended by senior government officials, managing director of RSP and authorities of the XIM, Bhubaneswar, a release issued by the chief minister's office said.
"The Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) has assured to provide all required support to the proposed second campus of the XIM in the steel city," it said.
Ray said that Rourkela meets all the criteria to locate the IIM. However, in a bid to pacify the agitation, the state government took a decision to locate the XIM in the steel city, sources said.
