Host Royal Wahingdoh FC today settled for a point with Bharat FC as Kris Bright levelled the score in the dying minutes of the match during their Round 9 Hero I-League match at the J N Stadium here.
Having defeated the visitors in Pune during their previous encounter, a more confident Royal Wahingdoh failed to convert several chances they made in both the halves.
While Jackichand Singh scored his only goal for his team in the 32nd minute, there seems to be no luck for his partners Bekay Bawar and Kim.
Even as penalty was not awarded when Bawar was brought down in the box in the 15th minute of the game, the host were not disheartened and continue to dominate the proceedings.
His another shot 15 minutes later went just over the bar and two minutes later Jackichand Singh collected a long pass from the left and netted his solitary goal after hitting the cross bar.
Returning from the lemon break, Bharat FC keeper Arindam made a brilliant save off the powerful right footer from Royal's Kim in the 52nd minute.
Fourteen minutes later, Singh could have doubled the lead had his shot not hit the cross bar again.
As Royals continued to dictate terms on the field, Kris Bright tapped the ball home in the 86th minute.
With today's draw, the host Royal Wahingdoh slipped to fourth place with 14 points, while Bharat FC retained their 8th place standing with 9 points.
