Rs.1,450 crore FDI flowed into electronic media in 15 years

Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) to the tune of over Rs.1,450 crore has been received over 15 years till September this year, the government said in the Lok Sabha today.
Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Rajyavardhan Rathore said in reply to supplementaries during the question hour that action will be taken as per law if television channels were found to be violating FDI norms.
In the current financial year till September, no FDI has come into the electronic media, he said.
The minister also said FDI equity inflows into the print media during the last 15 years was over Rs 400 crore.
