Rs.1 crore offered to TTD for helping physically challenged

An offering of Rs one crore was made to the famous hill shrine of Lord Venkateswara near here by a devotee today.
Temple officials said the devotee Anand Prasad, a businessman in Hyderabad, handed over the offering in the form of demand draft to the officials in the shrine.
The devotee requested the temple management to use the fund for the benefit of the physically challenged patients taking treatment at the Balaji Institute of Surgery, Research and Rehabilitation for the Disabled (BIRRD) run by Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams that manages the hill shrine, they added.
