The Jammu and Kashmir government today handed over Rs one lakh as ex-gratia to the family of the ITBP Inspector Bhim Singh, who was killed in a tragic chopper crash in flood-ravaged Uttrakhand, and assured job to his spouse.
Singh died in the crash while carrying out operations to rescue pilgrims in the flood-hit Uttarakhand last month.
Minister of State for Home, Industries and Commerce, Sajjad Ahmad Kichloo today went to the residence of late Singh at Bobiya in Hiranagar belt of Kathua district and conveyed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family on behalf of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and Union Minister for New and Renewable Energy Farooq Abdullah.
Kichloo gave a relief cheque amounting to Rs one lakh to the family members and assured government job to the spouse of the deceased.
Kichloo, while conveying his heartfelt sympathies to them, also prayed for the eternal peace to the departed soul.
