Rs 13 lakh looted from Punjan and Sind Bank

A gang of robbers today looted Rs 13 lakh at gun point from the Punjab and Sind Bank at Bandel in Hooghly district.
Hooghly SP Sunil Kumar Chowdhuri said at least nine persons brandishing revolvers raided the Bandel More branch of the bank at around 10.50 am and looted the amount from vaults and cash counters.
They pointed a revolver at branch manager Anuj Kumar all the while and packed the employees and customers into a room during the heist, the SP said.
