Uttar Pradesh Minister of State for Panchayati Raj Kamal Akhtar presided over the meeting and the budget's proposal was presented by Amethi chief development officer Om Prakash Ojha.
An additional Rs 2 crore and Rs 5 crore were also sanctioned for the establishment of an ICU and sports stadium, respectively on the demand of the public representatives.
The minister instructed District Magistrate Jagat Raj Tripathi to take action against the executive engineer of Prime Minister Gramin Sadak Yojna (PMGSY) and the regional tourism officer for their absence from the meeting.
The details of the proposed budget for the development of the district includes Rs 7 crore for forests, Rs 10.75 crore for panchayati raj, Rs 6.88 for gramya vikas, Rs 16.13 crore for small irrigation, Rs 70.32 crore for construction of roads and bridges and Rs 6.44 crore for primary education.
An amount of Rs 5.45 crore would be spent on secondary education sector, Rs 5.85 crore for medical aids, Rs 8.60 crore for rural potable water, Rs 34.80 crore for gramin avas, Rs 6.1 crore for SC welfare and Rs 2.72 crore for the welfare of OBCs among others, the minister said.
