Rs 6.62 lakh looted from ATM in Punjab

Unidentified miscreants allegedly looted Rs 6.62 lakh from an ATM of a bank at Ammo Nangal village here in the wee hours today, police said.
The accused, after entering the ATM cabin of Punjab Gramin Bank sprayed some chemicals on CCTV camera. They then broke the cash dispensing machine with a gas cutter and decamped with the money at 2:13 AM, SP Investigation A S Powar said.
Dog squad and finger print teams have been pressed into service to track the accused, police said, adding, a case has been registered in this regard.
