Rs 60 lakhs unaccounted cash seized

Election officials today seized Rs 60 lakhs unaccounted cash from the house of an iron merchant in Harur near here.
Following a tip-off, a team of election officials along with income tax sleuths carried out a search at the house of Abdullah during the small hours and found cash Rs 77 lakhs.
As Abdullah produced documents for just Rs 17 lakhs, officals seized the remaining amount.
