Presiding over a meeting of senior officers of various departments here today, Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar gave approval to the estimated expenditure of Rs 224 crore for Rajiv Chowk, Rs 248 crore for Signature Tower and Rs 307 crore for IFFCO Chowk.
It was apprised in the meeting that its project report has been prepared by Delhi Integrated Multi-Modal Transit System Limited (DIMTS), according to an official release here.
The Chief Minister made it clear that no separate toll tax should be collected on these routes.
Khattar also directed the Municipal Corporation, Gurgaon, HUDA, Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructural Development Corporation (HSIIDC) and Public Works Department (Building and Roads) to hold regular meetings with NHAI so that the process of project implementation could soon be carried out.
It was informed in the meeting that DIMTS has already submitted the draft detailed project report to NHAI.
Under this, there would be two-way straight underpass from Gurgaon-Sohna and Delhi to Gurgaon-Medicity route, one way loop underpass and a grade rotary, straight underpass for NH-8 at Rajiv Chowk, underpass from Medicity towards Delhi, exclusive lanes for the movement of pedestrians and non-motorised transport and a round-about for other traffic.
Similarly, on Signature Tower on Jaipur-Delhi route, there would be a provision from HUDA City Centre towards Jaipur, underpass chowk towards Delhi on Maharana Pratap Chowk for uninterrupted movement on conflict points.
