RS told about TMC member's arrest in Sardha chit fund scam

The Rajya Sabha was today informed about the arrest of Trinamool Congress MP from the House Srinjoy Bose in connection with the multi-crore Saradha chit fund scam in Kolkata recently.
The members were informed about the arrest by V P Singh Badore who was in the Chair.
Bose was arrested on November 21 by CBI after a marathon interrogation for his alleged involvement in the scam.
"Bose was arrested for his prima facie involvement in the Saradha realty case and for allegations of criminal conspiracy, misappropriation of funds and deriving undue financial benefits," a CBI spokesperson had said.
Bose is among eight prominent persons arrested by the agency in the Saradha case.
