RTI activist found murdered

An RTI activist was found murdered at his house on the outskirts of the city today.
After the neighbours reported foul smell coming from a locked house in Kolhe Layout near the city, police this morning broke open the door and found a highly-decomposed body of Mohan Waghmare (48), who hailed from village Uttarwadhona.
Waghmare's wife and two children were not living with him for the past several days.
Yavatmal superintendent of police M Raj Kumar said a murder case was registered and probe was on.
The murder appeared to have taken place on the intervening night of February 23 and 24, he added.

Sub-divisional police officer Piyush Jagtap said the police were awaiting the report of autopsy.
Waghmare was an eye-witness in a case of attack on the fellow RTI activist Digambar Pajgade.
