Ruby Rose reveals her sexual identity to mother at age of 12

"Orange Is the New Black" star Ruby Rose has revealed that she opened up about coming out as a lesbian to her mother at the age of 12.
The 30-year-old actress, who is currently dating songstress Jess Origliasso, said she was initially hesitant to talk about her sexual identity with her mother but when she first had her coming out conversation she was surprised to find out that her mother already seemed to know, reported The Huffington Post.
"She knew when I was six apparently. I didn't know anyone else that was gay or a lesbian. So I didn't really know how to word it. So I was just like, 'I think I should let you know that when I eventually get a boyfriend, there'll be a girl.' And she was just like, 'I know'," Rose said on NBC's "Sunday TODAY with Willie Geist".

The actress added, "I was like, 'Really, mom,' I don't even think I knew then. I didn't think it was possible. Apparently it is and it makes sense.
