Rurban mission meeting takes place ton finetune strategies

A maiden district level meeting of National Rurban Mission, which was aimed to develop cluster of villages with facilities of Rural and Urban combination, was held here today.
It was aimed at developing tribal-dominated Dharambahal-Kashida under Ghatsila block of Ghatsila sub-division in East Singhbhum district under the mission.
The proposed 'Rurban cluster' would be a cluster of geographically contiguous villages with a population of 5000 to 15000 in tribal areas.
The objective of the mission was to provide facilities to rural areas on lines of urban areas and give a shape of an ideal urban-rural combination, official sources said.
Three such clusters to be developed in Jharkhand including the only Schedule Tribe-dominated Dharambahal-Kashida of Ghatsila block identified in the state among the 300 such clusters identified across the country.
