SAD MP seeks info on Army personnel killed in 1984 riots

A demand was raised in the Rajya Sabha today seeking information about the Army personnel hailing from the Sikh community, who were killed during the 1984 riots.
Raising the demand during a special mention, SAD member Balwinder Singh said that defence personnel belonging to the Sikh community were attacked even in bus stands and railway stations during the riots.
He also sought the information on compensation to the affected families of the defence personnel.
K N Balagopal of CPI(M) sought establishing a regulatory mechanism for e-commerce, saying the move is vital to secure the interests of consumers and manufacturers.
Congress member Wansuk Syiem demanded the Centre's intervention to prevent recurrence of racial attacks on people from the North-East region in Delhi and NCR.

T N Seema of CPI(M) demanded to ensure adequate supply of HIV testing kits to all the states in the country.
Another Congress member, Narendra Budania, sought effective measures for protecting peacocks and cited a few recent instances of killing the bird, which is a threat to its existence.
