Poorvanchal cell of the party today announced that if opposition parties continue to protest against Jyoti, they would stage demonstration outside their leaders' offices in the national capital.
Dinesh Pratap Singh, president of Poorvanchal Cell, said, "Conspiracy against the Union Minister Jyoti by the opposition parties in Parliament is politically motivated. In the name of backward classes politics, Congress, Samajwadi Party, Janata Dal are doing this as Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti is a new challenge before them."
The Minister of State for Food Processing had stoked a controversy by allegedly asking voters to elect sons of Lord Ram and not "illegitimate sons" at a BJP rally in Dwarka on Monday evening, leaving the party and the government embarrassed.
She has expressed "deep regret" and apologised for her actions.
According to the party, there have been no rally of any MP held in the national capital, as they had to visit constituencies in the weekend.
