"India is an important country for us and we see potential for growth. By the end of this year we will bring Dior eyewear to India and over the next few years we will bring all our 30 brands here. Currently, we retail 17 brands here," Luisa Delgado Chief Executive Officer of Safilo told PTI.
In a company rejig, Safilo recently included India into Dubai-headquartered Middle East and Africa operations, moving out of Asia-Pacific region, to ensure more visibility and investments.
Safilo has been present in the country through its Indian subsidiary Safilo India since 2001 and is also looking at expanding sales force and team here.
The 3 billion euros company owns brands, Carrera, Polaroid, Smith, Safilo and Oxydo and retails the licensed branded collections of Dior, Fendi, Gucci, Banana Republic, Bobbi Brown and Boss presently.
