The Olympic bronze medallist from Hyderabad had won this tournament in 2012 and this year, she is the only seeded Indian in the USD 600,000 event.
P V Sindhu, who is not seeded, will be figuring in the other half of the draw in the women's singles.
Highest ranked Indian male shuttler, K Srikanth and Commonwealth Games gold medallist Parupalli Kashyap will be representing India in the men's singles to be played at the Odense Sports Park here.
Srikanth, however, have a tough task at hands in the opening round itself as he will be up against world no. 1 Lee Chong Wei.
In doubles, the women's combination of Jwala Gutta and Ashwini Ponnappa are the only Indians to have qualified for the tournament.
