Salgaocar FC, who are second with 33 points from 19 games after beating Dempo in their last match, are now four points behind leaders Bengaluru FC and a win tomorrow will see them close the gap to one point.
United Sports Club's poor form continued as they have collected just five points from their last nine outings and have 20 points from 19 matches. They are in danger of falling into relegation zone.
Salgaocar coach Derick Pereira stressed that no team can be taken for granted.
"We have one away match with Pune FC. Now we are playing with just two days break against United Sports Club tomorrow. We need to recover from injuries as Rahul Kumar is not fully fit from the hamstring injury which he suffered in the last match. The boys are playing well and hope they continue their form and keep on winning in the remaining matches if we are to win the title," stated Pereira.
