Salgaocar got back to winning ways with a 4-0 demolition of Air India in the previous match at Duler and technical director Peter Valles believes they have the ability to get a similar result against the visitors tomorrow.

"We are on a good run now. The last match was a confidence booster. Besides our team has done exceedingly well in the Goa Pro League. We hope to continue with the good run," said Valles.

Salgaocar had some inspiring results under their belt in the Goa Pro League where they defeated Dempo Sports Club (5-1) and Churchill Brothers (2-0).

"I don't think we have any reason to fear East Bengal. We lost by a solitary own goal against them in Kolkata and we have reasons to believe we were as good as them. I think we can get a good result for sure," said Valles.

Salgaocar now have 10 points from 11 matches and are placed 10th on the table.

East Bengal, on the other hand, are desperate for a victory as they have slipped out of the title race, thanks to some disappointing results in recent games.

Trevor Morgan's side returned to winning ways with a 3-0 hammering of Pailan Arrows but they are still behind.

Should Dempo and Churchill Brothers win their respective matches today, the gap will be evident.

East Bengal will be bolstered by the return of defender Uga Okpara who was suspended after an ugly fracas against Prayag United defender Bello Rasaq. Okpara's return will give Morgan enough options at the backline.

East Bengal are currently placed fourth with 24 points from 12 matches.

Defending champions Dempo lead the table with 26 points.
