The "D Day" helmer was on a 'thank you' spree on Twitter, praising everyone associated with the film and called the "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" star his true "Hero".
"Thank you @BeingSalmanKhan for making the call and changing my life. You truly are my #Hero," he wrote.
"Hero" marks the debut of Suniel Shetty's daughter Athiya and Aditya Pancholi's son Sooraj Pancoli.
Salman, 49, has been promoting the film extensively along with star kids.
The "Kick" star was the one to bring Advani on board as the director of the film, which is the remake of 1983 movie of the same name.
Co-produced by Salman Khan Films and Subhash Ghai's Mukta Arts, "Hero" will hit theatres on September 11.
