The Sooraj Barjatya-directed film made a record collection of Rs 40.35 crore on its release day on November 12.
"The film has witnessed only 23 per cent drop over its release day. In merely two days of its release, the film has collected Rs 71.38 crore," the makers said in a statement.
"Prem Ratan Dhan Payo" marks Salman's collaboration with the director and his banner, Rajshri Films after a gap of 16 years.
The romantic-drama also stars Sonam Kapoor, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Swara Bhaskar, Armaan Kohli and sees the comeback of the 49-year-old "Dabangg" star's much-loved character, 'Prem'.
