The FC Goa team has been roped-in to be a part of the Carnival which will begin in the beach state from tomorrow.
The football team will come forward at the Samba Square here as citizens of Panjim come together to celebrate and revive the nostalgia of the years gone by.
The centrally located Jardin Garcia de Orta will include mini-goal posts where children can play a quick game of football or display their goal scoring skills.
Team FC Goa will also set up a lounge at the Samba Square where fans can drop by.
FC Goa CEO Sukhvinder Singh said, "We are very excited to be officially taking part for the first time in the annual carnival. Being a part of the colour and festivities is a conscious effort on our part to become an integral part of the Goan community throughout the year."
King Momo, who presides over the carnival float parade, will visit the carnival on the first day to interact with children and people at the Samba Square.
The celebration will feature dance, music and entertainment across the four days.
Special games, kids zones, food and beverage stalls and dessert carts will be set up for carnival revellers.
The students of the Goa College of Fine Arts will also be setting up an art installation.
