The activists took out a protest rally to the district collectorate with their footwear on their heads and shouting slogans.
Addressing agitators near the Circuit House where the rally was stopped, Sambhaji Brigade's Konkan region chief gave an ultimatum to the Maharashtra government to solve both the issues before the coming monsoon session of the legislature. He warned that if these issues are not solved, the Sambhaji Brigade would organise another protest demonstration to the house.
He also said that since Maharashtra faces a severe drought loan to farmers should be waived off. In addition to this, he said that the government should adopt an agriculture policy on the lines of the state industrial policy.
