Sharma was selected chairman for the next one year in a general meeting of the bar council, sources said.
He has been practising as an advocate at Jaipur bench of Rajasthan High Court since 1991.
Sharma also held the position of the vice chairman of the council from 2006 to 2007.
He assured to take up the issue of "uncle judges" and form an Anti Corruption Cell to deal with the complaints of corruption in the judicial system.
Sharma said that the Cell will investigate the complaints of corrupt practises and take measures to check them.
Roshan Singh Rathore was selected vice chairman of the council.
