Sarah Hyland, Emily V Gordon team for ABC comedy

Sarah Hyland is joining hands with "Big Sick" co-writer Emily V Gordon for a comedy, in which the "Modern Family" star is also attached to feature.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the project is set at ABC with a put-pilot commitment, to be produced by 20th Century Fox TV.

The series will be a multicamera comedy based on the lives of Hyland and Gordon.

Both will serve as executive producer, with Gordon set to write.

Things will start rolling once the production on the final season of "Modern Family" is complete next year.

"This Is Us" showrunners Isaac Aptaker and Elizabeth Berger will also exec produce the untitled comedy.
