Satyajit Tambe was elected as president of the Maharashtra Youth Congress on Friday.
Returning officer for the election Sudhir Chaudhary said here that Tambe polled 70,189 votes, while his nearest rival MLA Amit Zanak got 32,999 votes.
Appointments to the post of vice president and other executive posts will be declared tomorrow, Chaudhary said.
