The Supreme Court today directed governments of Bihar, Madhya Pradesh and Assam to hold an extended counselling for admission in post-graduate courses in medical colleges.
A bench of justices Vikramajit Sen and Shiv Kirti Singh directed the three states to complete counselling by June 23 and specify the number of seats which remain vacant.
The bench said that counselling under all India quota would then be completed by June 27 to ensure that no seat remained vacant.
The apex court directed the state governments to give adequate publicity about the extended counselling.
