Struck by the fear of scores of snakes taking refuge in and around their premises, personnel of a police station here sought the help of snake charmers who captured five poisonous reptiles.
It was a scary sight as the snakes wriggled out in different directions when the snake charmers enticed them out of their hidings yesterday at the Kenikarai Police Station, housed in the District collectorate building.
The police personnel heaved a sigh of relief after five snakes were captured from the stock room.
The snake charmers claimed that all the snakes in the vicnity had been captured, police said.
