Walled city Jaipur and the adjoining areas received moderate rains this morning with a rainfall of about 5 mm, while Churu and Ganganagar recorded 0.5 mm rainfall since last night.
Drizzles and cloudy weather caused day temperature in the entire state to dip by at least 5 notches on the mercury scale since yesterday. The maximum temperature had hovered around 28 and 32 degree Celsius yesterday, with the weatherman predicting it to fall further this afternoon.
Minimum temperature at night in the state plummeted by one to four notches due to effect of Hudhud whereas Ganganagar on plains recorded the lowest temperature of 12.3 degree Celsius, and Mount Abu on plains a minimum of 8 degree Celsius.
A fresh round of western disturbances have risen from J&K and Himachal and are likely to hit the state in next 48 hours, the forecast said.
