Under the scheme, a survey will be conducted to assess the numbers of stray dogs which would be sterilised.
Stating this here today, a spokesman said that Society for Stray Canine Birth Control (SSCBC) will be constituted in all municipal corporations, municipal councils and municipalities.
It is in compliance with the orders of the Punjab and Haryana High Court, in pursuance of the Haryana Municipal (Registration and Proper Control of Dogs) Bye Laws, 2005, and Haryana Municipal Corporation (Registration and Proper Control of Dogs) Bye Laws 2008.
The spokesman said that the Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) had been constituted in all district headquarters under the chairmanship of the DC.
