School bus driver sentenced to jail for raping Class XII girl

The driver of a school bus was sentenced to seven years in jail for kidnapping and raping a girl of Class XII.
Additional District and Sessions judge Vimlesh Tanwar pronounced the sentence on driver Jasdev and imposed a fine of Rs 6,000 on him.
According to the prosecution, the father of the girl had filed a complaint with police that on July 25 last year he and other family members were away from home and his daughter was alone in the house.
In the meantime, the driver of school bus Jasdev reached there. He abducted the girl by luring her and raped her.

Later, police rescued the girl from his possession and during medical examination it was revealed that the accused had raped her.
Police had registered a case under Section 302 of IPC and relevant sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act against him.
