The accused, identified as Raj Kumar Kaswan, principal of Saraswati Senior Secondary School in Bhuna, was booked under section 376 read with 511 (attempt of rape) under Indian Penal Code, relevant section of POCSO Act and under Scheculed Caste- Scheduled Tribe Act.
The victim had complained to her parents yesterday that the principal was seeking sexual favours from her, Fatehabad Superintendent of Police Sangeeta Kalia said today.
When the girl reached Kaswan's office yesterday, the principal allegedly started molesting her. The girl's parents, who were hidden near the principal's office, thrashed the accused and handed him to police.
